About Rothai

ABOUT

Rothai was founded by Eddie Ryce, a lifelong cyclist frustrated with overpriced, overhyped kit that often puts looks before performance. He set out to change that.

Rooted in the rugged beauty of Ireland’s northwest coast, Rothai is where Celtic grit meets real-world cycling. The name itself, Rothai, means “cyclist” in Gaelic, a nod to Eddie’s Scottish roots and his 25 years of life in Ireland.

We believe quality cycling gear shouldn’t cost a fortune. Every Rothai piece is designed and tested in the harshest elements the Irish coast can throw at a rider. Our focus? Kit that performs, lasts, and looks sharp, no fluff, no gimmicks.

Our four-leaf clover logo stands for more than luck. It’s a symbol of confidence. Whether you’re grinding up mountain climbs or racing through the city, we want you to feel supported in every mile.

Rothai isn’t just about clothing, it’s about identity. Our ideal riders share a love for the road, a passion for performance, and a connection to the cycling cultures of Ireland and Scotland. They know the pain of long climbs, the joy of fast descents, and the value of kit that just works.

As we grow, we’re proud to be championing Ireland and Scotland as cycling destinations, and making space for more riders along the way. 2025 will see our first major push into women’s cycling, with dedicated apparel designed for performance and comfort.

We’re here to own the mid-market. To be the Marks & Spencer of cycling apparel, trusted, consistent, and value-driven.

Rothai stands for grit, passion, style, and above all, quality. Because when you’re focused on the road ahead, your kit should be the last thing on your mind.
